🎯 Camera

Scan Activity

For scanning camera permission is mandatory
GPS location permission is optional to get the coordinates for a QR memo
The scanning square shows the last black/white decoded QR code
The App icon indicates the top left angle, scanning starts from top left in the square, for best results it should match the top left angle of a QR code
Wipe the screen to an edge to get a memo tab
Touch on the screen switches to mid, full, no zoom level, also possible by volume down
Volume up switches the flashlight
Long touch on the screen shows scanning hints
Touch on a scanned text tries to open it as a URL in the default browser
Long touch on a scanned text discards it
Touch on a scanned picture during scanning stops further scanning for some seconds
Touch on a residential picture hides it

Known Shortages

QR text limit is set to 2048
Some minor updates will be done only on a new visit of the activity
A group representative can only be deleted if it has no members. If there is a circle in group relationship a new memo can be set as a new representative to break the circle
No zoom bar
No direct edit of a memo: instead the header can be edited and copied to the memo text, due to missing edit functionality of the vCard format, XML format would be preferred but is not available as a standard, even better would be an extensible standard of data types for data fields at all
Pictures are loaded on scrolling, for the first view there might be some milliseconds gap on some devices, only black/white pictures are stored due to faster loading and lower memory consumption for memos

🎯 Your Memos

Tabs

New, shows the newest memos down to 52 weeks
Most, the most used memos by touch/longtouch on phone numbers, web links
Favorites, the time sorted favorites
Search, all memos, or groups in an alphabetic order, matching also the search field

Touching

on a header will switch to full text or vCard format encoding if available
long on a header will select the memo, or show the context menu if selected
on a selected header deselects the memo
on a header if selection are made, adds to the selections
long on a header if selections are made, adds all down/up to the current memo on a date with group plus sign shows the group list, long press shows the member list of the memo
on a picture shows the QR memo without the list, second touch will enlarge the picture, second long touch will generate a QR code
long on a w3qr picture generates a QR code for the text
long touch or double touch can select text, another touch will show the copy paste menu
on the keyboards search button will show the matching memos also for groups

Buttons

Time, switch to the New tab
Search, switch to the Search tab showing the menu
Options, show the actual options based also on the current selection(s)
Back, cancels actions, depending on selections, or switches to scanning mode

Additional buttons on selections

Delete, from the tab-list, not from the device
Share, opens sharing options for the selection(s)
Edit, for the header, save and finish editing

Context Menu

Groups

two or more selected memos can be grouped by the options or context menu. The first selected memo is used as the group representative item marked with {+}
memberships can be changed by selections and the options or context menu

Yearly Events

* day.month. some text or* month/day/ some text
at the beginning of a memo line can be used as a yearly notification shown by wiping up to the favorites on the scan activity, or by using the entry of the option menu

Sharing

the App is able to accept text, QR pictures, vCards, and its own database zip-file as a sharing input, also it can share these to other apps

Backup

the App allows Android backup, as an alternative the database zip-file can be shared
